SPORTS ACTIVITIES - OUTDOOR
Sport is an integral part of School life at KKCS. We at KKCS are passionate about building a strong sense of character, and our sporting activities enable all children to develop the skills of risk-taking, decision-making under pressure, resilience, communicating with others and team-working. The playground is a place of transformation and the nerve centre of all activities. In addition to general physical development, it is here that they learn to become performers, achievers, decision makers and leaders. They are role models for other children as they are admired, applauded and followed. The vast play-scape, the pride of the campus, supports these objectives.
Sports such as Basketball, Volleyball, Badminton, Throwball, Pin Ball, Archery, Martial Arts, Athletics, Lawn Tennis, Skating, Cricket and Boxing are all the options offered to the students. In our endeavour to polish students in their choice of sport, we offer expert trainers to help children master key skills. As the latest development, infrastructural additions have been made for students interested in combat games.
- Basketball, being one of the most popular sports on campus, basketball is played by many students of the school, both boys and girls. To cater to the needs of basketball lovers, KKCS has a standard-sized basketball court with soft flooring. The basketball coach not only trains the senior students, but also the junior enthusiasts using movable basketball posts.
- Badminton: Two dedicated indoor and one outdoor courts are extensively used for the practice and tournaments of this game. For professional guidance and polishing, special trainers have been appointed.
- Lawn Tennis A national-level standard cemented lawn tennis court with a high fence provides the right setting for the students who have opted for this game. Students enjoy learning this game and its finer technicalities.
- Volleyball, Volleyball and Throwball courts are demarcated for full-fledged practice of the volleyball buffs. Students are taught the technicalities of the game by a professional coach. Students enjoy the volleyball inter-house matches as a part of their activity calendar.

- Boxing, a game that improves the cardiovascular fitness of players, also reduces risks for cardiovascular disease, high blood pressure, diabetes, and other chronic conditions, is one of the most popular games at the school level. KKCS has an international-sized boxing ring for game lovers.
- Skating is amongst the most popular outdoor activities that most students opt for, especially the juniors. Skating is encouraged as it works on almost every major muscle group in the body. Not only that, but children today need all the help they can get to stay in shape and live a healthy lifestyle. The skating rink is vast and spacious, catering to big groups of students learning the finer nuances of this sport. Skating lessons are delivered by a well-experienced coach. Our students have always brought laurels to the school at the State and National Level Games. Special training session in the evening is run in the school campus under the banner of “Wheels on Fire Club”
- Kabaddi, basically a game played in rural areas of Punjab and Haryana, is emerging rapidly as a popular game in other sectors of society, and is chosen by a number of students. KKCS has provided a special trainer for the game.
- Athletics Students at KKCS have the best training when it comes to Athletics. A 200 mtr track is demarcated for running. Promising students receive a focused training in discus throw, shot put and jumps too.
- Cricket is undeniably the supreme sport in the eyes of Indians, and understandably, the cricket lovers of KKCS are passionate about the sport. A well-developed pitch is available for the net practice.
- Hockey Hokey is introduced for the first time in session 2025-26 for all boys and girls students of class VI and above. Hokey is a game of skill and strategy.
- Football is introduced for the first time in session 2025-26 for all boys and girls students of class VI and above. Football is a game of activity and stamina.
- Martial Arts A sizable number of students, most of them juniors, are given training in martial arts. The expert martial arts instructor helps the students. Martial arts are not only meant to develop students’ physical strength and endurance, but also to develop their self-defence capabilities.
- Yoga and Aerobic Yoga are an integral part of our school curriculum. The school offers a magnificent, spacious activity room for practising the “asanas” learnt, although the play-scape of the school is lush and serene for outdoor sessions too. Aerobic sessions are also scheduled alternatively in the open Gym to bring about flexibility and agility amongst students. A special trainer is available for the same.
- Wrestling is being introduced as a new game for the session 2025-26. A specially created indoor ground for wrestling will provide ample opportunities to students, both boys and girls, to show their strength.
- Handball - Game of toughness and fastness is being introduced for the first time in KKCS in the session 2025-26.
- Baseball - baseball, a game played with a bat and ball, is introduced in session 2025-26 to develop special skills in children.
- Kho-Kho - A very popular rural folk game is also played at the campus of KKCS.
- Archery- A New game introduced in session 2026-27, again a game of skill.
SPORTS ACTIVITIES - INDOOR
Besides outdoor games, ample opportunities are there at KKCS to enhance the skills of students in various indoor games available in specially designed SPORTS LAB. The students are at liberty to choose any one or more than one indoor games.
- Table Tennis, Table Tennis or also known as Pin Pong, is perhaps the number one game among students loving indoor games. KKCS has provided two standard-sized table tennis tables for lovers of this game.
- Carrom is another popular tabletop game among students after Table Tennis. This is a game of Indian origin in which players flick discs, attempting to knock them to the corners of the board. The game is very popular in the Indian subcontinent and is known by various names in different languages. In South Asia, many clubs and cafés hold regular tournaments. For Carrom players, different-sized carrom boards suitable for different age groups are available in SPORTS LAB.
- Chess. For those who enjoy this game of conquest, conflict, and competitive skill, the school has appointed a professional coach who guides the budding Grand Masters in picking up the intricacies of the game. The school has an adequate number of checkerboards in the SPORTS LAB to satisfy the playing instinct of the children
- Ludo, yet another popular tabletop game among students after Chess. For Ludo lovers, differently sized Ludo boards suitable for different age groups are available in SPORTS LAB
- Rubik’s Cube Today, the Rubik’s Cube is revered as one of the most beloved toys of all time. Each year, millions of Cubes are sold, solved, and shared among friends, families, and puzzle seekers alike. SPORTS LAB provides an ample number of cubes for lovers of this game.
- Gymnastics is a type of sport that includes physical exercises requiring balance, strength, flexibility, agility, coordination, dedication, and endurance. The movements involved in gymnastics contribute to the development of the arms, legs, shoulders, back, chest, and abdominal muscle groups. The school provides ample opportunities to students, both boys and girls, to enhance their skills and show their worth in this field, also under special trainers.
- Shooting A game of high skill, mind, and action is rifle shooting for which a special shooting range with 3 bays has been created.
- Weight Lifting - For the first time, weight lifting is being made a part of sports activities from the session 2025-26
- Martial Arts - Martial arts are codified systems and traditions of combat practiced for various reasons, including self-defense, competition, fitness, and cultural preservation. Various Martial Arts, like karate, judo, and kung fu, are offered at KKCS
